Course description
The overall purpose of undergoing lift training is to become a safe and risk-aware lift user. After completing the training with approved results, the participant receives a training certificate for lifts that meets the requirements of the Work Environment Act and the regulations of the Work Environment Agency. This is valid for five years and must then, according to the lift council, be renewed through a refresher course, (SS-ISO 18878:2013).
Use of lifting devices and lifting equipment (AFS 2006:06 § 29)
According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s regulations, the person using a lift must be familiar with the work and have theoretical and practical knowledge for safe use. The employer must have documentation of the employee’s skills and the employee must also have the employer’s written permission to use a lift.
Documentation
After completed training with a passed final exam, a training certificate is issued. It must be renewed through a refresher course after 5 years.
