This course is blended learning. This means that you first complete a theoretical part as e-learning. Once that is done, you will proceed with the practical part. Upon successful completion of both components, you will be awarded a training certificate.

Most accidents and incidents are due to ignorance. This training gives the participant knowledge to prevent accidents and reduce the risks of ill health and accidents at the workplace.

According to AFS 2023:11 § 29, a lifting device or a lifting tool may only be used by someone who is well acquainted with the work and has theoretical and practical knowledge for safe use. This applies regardless of the industry and context in which lifting is carried out, and regardless of the type of load involved. AFS 2023:11 establishes that it is the employer's obligation to have documented knowledge for the employee.

The Safe Lifting training is aimed at those who connect a load to a lifting device or must act as a signalman during lifting. Supervisors and safety representatives who must be able to plan work with and around the lifting devices should also take this course.
